Osteoporosis Home Remedies
Osteoporosis can be treated with natural ingredients like progesterone and apple cider vinegar. All through life, our bones are in a constant state of renewal or remodeling. While some bone cells are breaking down and being resorbed, others are forming to take their place. When resorption occurs faster than formation, the bones become weak and extremely porous. Fractures can occur with little or no pressure. This condition is osteoporosis. Lack of estrogen seems to be a key contributing factor. Inadequate male hormones or androgens, calcium and Vitamin D also contribute to this condition.
After their bones reach a peak density at about age 30, both men and women begin to lose some bone mass as they age. In women, however, the loss is greatly accelerated with the decline in estrogen production at menopause. As the woman ages, the vertebrae compress, the spine curves and the woman loses height. Her internal organs are displaced and the abdomen protrudes, with severe discomfort as a result of pressure on the digestive tract.
The root causes for Osteoporosis are inactivity, poor diet, hormonal imbalance, smoking, nutritional deficiencies, eating disorders, prolonged stress, toxic metals, heredity and an acidic pH balance. It can also be caused by long term use of certain medications like anticonvulsants, prednisone, heparin, methotrexate, lithium, isoniazid, chemotherapy, thyroid and other chemicals. It could also occur as a side effect of certain medical conditions like diabetes, Cushing's disease, kidney and liver disease, homocystinemia, hyperthyroidism, mal absorption and others. Osteoporosis could go un-detected till it gets very painful.
Osteoporosis Symptoms
Watch out for a stooped posture, a dowager's hump, backache, easily broken bones or sleeves and hem that used to fit earlier and are now hanging loose.
Osteoporosis Lifestyle Choices

Progesterone Remedy For Osteoporosis
Lack of progesterone is also cited for osteoporosis. Apply a 3% cream of natural progesterone to places like the face, neck, chest, breasts, underarms, and palms of the hands, where the capillaries are closer to the skin surface and aid in absorption. Natural progesterone, along with a program of diet, vitamin and mineral supplementation can retard this disease. -
Apple Cider Vinegar Aid For Osteoporosis
As people age, their ability to produce acid in the stomach reduces. Acids aid in the absorption of nutrients and the lack of it can cause a calcium deficiency. Drinking a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar mixed in eight ounces of milk at the start of every meal can help with nutrient absorption.

Calcium
Calcium is a vital mineral in preventing and treating Osteoporosis. It has proven to slow bone mineral loss. Milk is an excellent source of calcium, but many people are averse to diary and can instead try beans, broccoli and fortified orange juice. More on Calcium -
Vitamin D
Vitamin D is essential for our body to absorb calcium and keep our bones well. Vitamin D deficiency can cause osteomalacia, or soft bones, which contributes to fractures. The skin makes Vitamin D whenever it is exposed to sunlight, but it is harder during the winter months. More on Vitamin D
