The Asoka tree can be used to treat diabetes, abdominal pain, piles and uterine disorder. The Ashoka is an evergreen tree, prized for its beautiful foliage and fragrant flowers. It has many folklore associated with it and there are references to this tree in many of the Buddhist and Hindu writings.
Ashoka Medicinal Properties
The Ashoka bark is an astringent, sweeet, refrigerant, anthelmintic, styptic, demulcent and febrifuge. The flowers are an uterine tonic and the leaves are depurative. In clinical studies, it has shown to have a stimulating effect on the endometrium and ovarian tissue.
